Seeking legal simplification of rural properties: a meeting between government, academia and international cooperation

On May 14, a reunion was held between the ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Colombia, Reina Buijs; the rector of the Externado University, Hernando Parra Nieto; the Representative to the Chamber, Julia Miranda de Esguerra; Laura Becerra, representative of Kadaster; Piet Spijkers, advisor of Kadaster; Bernardo Carvajal, director of the Department of Administrative Law and María del Pilar García, professor - researcher of the Faculty of Law of the Externado.

The purpose of the meeting was to identify possibilities for legal collaboration of the Administrative Law Department in the preparation of a draft law on the simplification of rural property formalization processes in Colombia.

The rector of the University, Hernando Parra Nieto, insisted on the importance of the intervention and participation of the academy in the generation of public policy, directly linked to the development of the States.
