International Agencies met to work together in the Colombian Land Administration

On April 11 international agencies that work with Land administration in Colombia met together invited by the projects of Kadaster in Colombia, Julia Miranda, and the Dutch Embassy. Norway, USA, Germany, France, Italy, UK, Korea, FAO, WorldBank, Switzerland, Interamerican Development Bank and Colombian House of Representatives were some of the participants.

During the meeting, each agency presented its projects and objectives and shared the bottlenecks in doing its job. Legal needs to improve the possibilities for applying Land administration projects were also discussed.

It was a great opportunity to exchange experiences, insights, and discuss possibilities for future cooperation. Together we can promote a more effective land administration for rural development, reduce deforestation, among others. The next step will be the organization of technical meetings to start work on proposals for the Colombian government.
